Welcome to Omega Protocol: Sole Defender


This is my first game I have released. I've been making games for years but am new to publishing them. Omega Protocol:  Sole Defender was the first project I started many years ago and I figured what better game to release than the first one I ever started all those years ago. I'm interested in learning from players what they like and don't like about the game so I can learn and grow as a game developer. The dream, of course, would be to make my living as an indy game developer but I'm not counting on it. Like I said, I'm more interested in the learning and growing aspect of game development right now. What people like in games, what they don't like and how to grow and market games I make plus meet people and learn the ins and outs of Indy game development. I don't feel this game is quite ready for a static price just yet until I fix some issues mostly around game balance. That being said, if you can spare a buck or two until I get the game to that point, I would be extremely grateful. This game is supposed to be challenging. I'm issuing a challenge to the player. If you can beat the game, especially in its unbalanced state, that's quite an accomplishment. I believe challenge necessitates sound strategy and tactics. You can also go far in this game with fast, twitchy reactions. You probably need both to survive though. You are playing an action RPG while the aliens are playing an RTS. And to top it all off, it is a roguelike for that added layer of challenge. This is not a game that will take hours to beat, instead, it is designed for multiple playthroughs with multiple different strategies and tactics to explore. Every update is focused on engaging this aspect of challenge, to test you, so when you finally do save the solar system, it is that much more satisfying.
